UFC 246 takes place Saturday January 18, 2020, from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
The event, which is set to be headlined by a men’s welterweight showdown between Conor McGregor and ‘Cowboy’ Donald Cerrone, features three exciting female bouts across the main card, prelims and early prelims.
Here’s a rundown of the three female fights and how you can watch them:
Main Card – 10pm EST, live on pay-per-view
Holly Holm vs. Raquel Pennington, bantamweight bout
An exciting 135-pound fight co-headlines the main card when Holm (12-5-0) takes on Pennington (10-7-0). The fight will be a rematch from a 2015 encounter in which Holm won via split decision. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ looks to rebound from a first-round knockout loss to Amanda Nunes, whilst Pennington looks to build off a split decision win over Irene Aldana.
Prelims – 8pm EST, live on ESPN
Roxanne Modafferi vs. Maycee Barber, flyweight bout
One of the most talked about fights on the card is the 125-pound bout between a veteran of nearly 20 years in Roxanne Modafferi (23-16-0), and a fast-rising up-and-coming star in Maycee Barber (8-0-0). 21-year-old Barber has been receiving a lot of hype leading into this bout and is the biggest betting favorite on the entire card, man or woman. Also known as ‘The Future’, Barber has already been predicted by the likes of former ONE FC champ and UFC welterweight, Ben Askren, to be UFC flyweight champion by the end of 2020.
Early Prelims – 7pm EST, live on UFC Fight Pass
Sabina Mazo vs. JJ Aldrich, flyweight bout
Both Mazo (7-1-0) and Aldrich (8-3-0) are 1-1 in their last two fights and are coming off impressive decision wins. 22-year-old Mazo, also known as the ‘Colombian Queen’, is a former LFA flyweight champion who signed with the UFC in 2019. 27-year-old Aldrich is a UFC veteran who has previously fought for Invicta FC and competed on The Ultimate Fighter back in 2016.
