UFC 237 weigh-in results: Bethe Correia misses bantamweight limit by 5 pounds

Tomorrow night at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, some of MMA’s toughest ladies are set for battle.

Before the cage door closes, the fighters stepped on the scale at the early weigh-ins to make their bouts official.

EARLY PRELIMS, UFC FIGHT PASS, 6:15 PM EST

Talita Bernardo (134.5) vs. Viviane Araujo (131)

Priscila Cachoeira (125.5) vs. Luana Carolina (124.5)

UFC 237 ESPN PRELIMS, ESPN, 8 PM EST

Bethe Correia (141)* vs. Irene Aldana (135.5)

UFC 237 MAIN CARD, ESPN+ PPV, 10 PM EST

Rose Namajunas (114.5) vs. Jessica Andrade (114.5)

*The CABMMA says Correia will not be given additional time to weigh in. There is no word yet on whether Correia vs. Aldana will remain on the card. Stay tuned for updates.

  1. Ridiculous. And she was talking about dropping to 125?! They really need to institute a 10% of their pay per pound overweight to incentivize the fighters to get as close to weight as possible.

    Having won only one of her last 5 fights, it’s rather mind boggling that she is still with the UFC but she does make an excellent villain to cheer against. Go Aldana!

    1. That’s a little misleading ! Getting KOed by Holly Holm is hardly embarrassing ! She’s 10-3 overall, and other than the Holm loss, hasn’t lost any others since the first half of 2016 though the fight against Eye should have been a loss, but Eye was robbed.

  2. She missed weight by that much and then her fight got moved to the main card?!!! Way to go, Bethe! Imagine how big she’d be in the UFC if she used drugs, had a hit and run drive-by, and started a riot!

    1. LOL !!! I was wondering. How did she get moved to the main card ? Was there a fight that was canceled ? I just realized yesterday that this was on the main card now.
