In addition to the strawweight championship co-main event at UFC 211, Jessica Aguilar will be looking to make a statement in her return fight against Cortney Casey.
Jessica Aguilar made her UFC debut in August of 2015 at UFC 190 against Claudia Gadelha. Despite losing to Gadelha via unanimous decision, Aguilar’s heart and grit were on full display. Since her debut, a torn ACL, torn ligaments in her knee, and other nagging injuries have kept her out of action.
Jessica Aguilar, who trains at American Top Team, currently holds a record of 19-5. She has long been considered by many a top strawweight prospect. Aguilar holds wins over current UFC strawweights Carla Esparza and Angela Magana.
Ahead of her second UFC fight, relive one of Jessica’s career highlights below– submitting Alida Gray in the first round to win the WSOF strawweight title in 2014.
