Before Ronda Rousey fought and lost to Holly Holm, the women’s MMA pioneer had a dream. Her dream was to go down as the greatest fighter of all time, whilst also remaining unbeaten.
Of course, this can no longer happen. Her Friday night fight against Amanda Nunes could make or break Ronda’s career.
UFC president Dana White reveals if Rousey is victorious we will most likely see her fight again. However, he seems doubtful she will ever step foot in the cage again if she loses to the current UFC bantamweight champion, Amanda Nunes.
“I think if Ronda wins, we will see her again. If she loses, I don’t know. She’s very competitive, so if she loses I’ll have to see how this thing plays out, but her legacy? I mean, she held the title, she was the most dominant female ever. And if you look at since she lost, every time there’s been a fight the belt has been handed over. So, on Friday night she has the opportunity to come back, get her belt back and cement her legacy.”
UFC 207 takes place this Friday from the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The event will be aired live on PPV.
