Julia “Raging Panda” Avila is no doubt one of the best bantamweight fighters in the world who is yet to sign a contract with the UFC.
The 29-year-old Californian has remained undefeated throughout both her amateur and professional careers. She owns very notable victories over the current UFC flyweight champion Nicco Montano, as well as top-ten ranked UFC bantamweight contender, Marion Reneau. In her most recent showing back in July she submitted Candace Maricle in the very first round.
Avila (4-0) may have only competed in just four professional MMA fights, however, it should be noted that the UFC have previously signed several women with less experience. In fact the likes of Rose Namajunas, Cynthia Calvillo, Ashlee Evans-Smith, Kailin Curran and many more all had three victories or less before making their UFC debuts. With the UFC currently lacking in talent when it comes to the bantamweight division, perhaps now is the time to bring in a woman who has already beaten two of their top talents.
