UFC strawweight Tecia Torres has opened up about her issues with low self-esteem and revealed what one of her biggest insecurities is in a post to her fans on social media.
Torres (10-2) is considered one of the best 115-pound fighters in the world, having earned herself victories over the likes of Michelle Waterson, Felice Herrig, Paige VanZant and many more throughout her career. However, the 28-year-old recently opened up about her self-confidence issues, revealing that one of her biggest insecurities of all time has been her skin.
“Self-Confidence. Such a big word. One of my biggest insecurities is my skin. Although I struggle with it, I am so proud of how fresh it feels today. My scars are a reminder of growing pains, my battles fought in the octagon, and a painful youth that I grew from. We all struggle with our own battles daily, so remember that next time you have a thought about another. Life isn’t easy but it’s so worth the ride! I’m blessed to share my journey with so many of you, you aren’t alone. If anyone hasn’t told you lately I love you and you are beautiful. I will tell myself the same today!” Torres wrote.
