Sinead Kavanagh VS Maria Casanova set for Bellator 187 on November 10

A women’s featherweight fight between Sinead Kavanagh and Maria Casanova has been added to the Bellator 187 event on November 10.

Kavanagh (4-2-0) will be looking to rebound from a two-fight losing streak, following close decision losses to Iony Razafiarison and upcoming featherweight title challenger, Arlene Blencowe. Fighting out of Dublin, Ireland, Kavanagh made her Bellator debut in December 2016, dominating Elina Kallionidou for the unanimous decision win. Prior to make her debut for the organization, she owned impressive first-round knockout wins over Hatice Ozyurt and Katarzyna Sadura.

Casanova (2-5-1) is on a four-fight losing streak, three by way of decisions and one submission loss to UFC flyweight, Mara Romero Borella. Her sole career victories are first-round submissions over Clemence Schreiber and Lysane Delourme.

Bellator 187 takes place on November 10 from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The main card will be aired live on Spike.

  1. I hate the records matchup because it comes across as a total squash match in order to push Sinead Kavanagh. But on the bright side, Sinead Kavanagh has gotten into MMA and she has taken off with staying busy and getting as much experience as she can get, cudos to her for that.

    1. “Casanova (2-5-1) is on a four-fight losing streak, three by way of decisions and one submission loss to UFC flyweight, Mara Romero Borella. “?! Sounds like quite the sacrificial lamb to boost Kavanagh’s record and confidence.
