Shannon Sinn promises victory in LFA title fight versus Sabina Mazo

Legacy Fighting Alliance flyweight Shannon Sinn finds herself in a title fight on April 20 when not that long ago, she was considering retiring.

Last year, the Coloradoan had an upside-down record after losing to current Invicta FC fighter Cheri Muraski. Sinn says about that time:

“I was training hard, but I don’t feel I was in a good place mentally. I had low self-esteem and confidence in my fighting. I was training hard, but I just wasn’t performing or following my game plan as I should. I spoke to my coach about it. He suggested maybe getting a reset; going somewhere else and getting some training in. That’s what I did. I shook things up and never felt better.”

Image result for shannon sinnSinn rebounded with wins over Katy Collins and Heather Bassett, and now she is preparing to fight for the LFA Flyweight title against Sabina Mazo. Sinn realizes that she has her work cut out for her. Obviously she does have that crazy kickboxing. I’m not stupid. I’ve seen her highlight reel knockouts. I know what I’m looking out for.”

However, Sinn is brimming with confidence. She says, “I don’t feel like my kickboxing is that bad either. I have power in my hands. I feel my stand-up can just be as scary as hers; I just don’t have those highlight reel knockouts yet.”

“I plan on going in there and shock everyone again, and show them that they should stop making me the underdog. It’s definitely no disrespect. It’s probably been better for the training camp. It’s motivating at the same time.”

Shannon Sinn faces Sabina Mazo at LFA 37 on April 20th at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The fight is for the vacant LFA flyweight championship.

  1. 4-5 versus 4-0 is going to be very hard task for Shannon Sinn to pick up the victory. But hopefully for her she can keep her new found confidence going along with her winning streak. Tough match up on paper.
