Earlier this week we revealed the historical 155lb lightweight world championship had again been put on hold, due to a competitor pulling out.
The fight is now back on Sarah ‘Primal’ Patterson is now set to face the returning former Invicta FC star, Tamikka ‘Boom Boom’ Brents.
‘Boom Boom’ (2-2-0) will be making her return to the cage after almost 27 months away from competition. She has previously competed in Invicta FC. She holds impressive victories over Amanda Bell and Jessica Halverson. She has previously fought the current number 1 lightweight in the world Bobbi-Jo Dalziel in a hard fought battle which she lost in round 3 via TKO.
Tamikka Brents comments:
“I can’t wait to be back in the cage! I’ve had some time off, but it’s time to get back at it and let these hands fly! As for that title, that’s just icing on the cake! I don’t know much about Patterson. All I know is she’s down to fight and she won’t p*ss out like a lot of “fighters” do, an injury is one thing, b*tchas*ness is another, and I know neither of us have that attribute in our DNA. It’s time to bang come March 3. So get ready St. Charles, you’re in for one hell of a show.”
So it’s official. #PattersonVSBrents, March 3rd at Gateway Fighting Series for the lightweight world title belt. The event will air live on pay-per-view which will be available online.
