Bellator is continuing its trend of picking up ex-UFC fighters as they confirmed ESPN’s published reports that former Octagon fighter Bec Rawlings has been signed with the organization.
Rawlings (7-8) has fought in both the strawweight and flyweight divisions. She began her UFC career with wins over Lisa Ellis and Seo Hee Ham, but lost her job with the organization after a four-fight losing streak, which began with a highlight-reel stoppage by Paige VanZant. That loss was followed by dropped decisions to Tecia Torres, Jessica-Rose Clark, and Ashlee Evans-Smith.
But despite her lack of Octagon success, “Rowdy” did find fortune as a bare-knuckle boxer, becoming the first woman to win a title in the Bare Knuckle FC organization. Rawlings went 3-0 in Bare Knuckle FC, defending her title twice.
She’s expected to fight as a flyweight for Bellator.
What do you think about this signing? Should Rawlings resume her MMA career, stick to bare-knuckle, or do both?
