Rose Namajunas has revealed she isn’t really interested in a trilogy fight against Joanna Jedrzejczyk and would only consider it under one condition.
Namajunas (8-3) won the strawweight title last November, knocking out Jedrzejczyk in the very first-round of their UFC 217 encounter. In the rematch at UFC 223 this past April, Namajunas was again victorious, this time by unanimous decision.
Jedrzejczyk is keen for a trilogy fight. She claims the first knockout loss was a “fluke” and believes she was the true victor of the second encounter, blaming the NYC judges for incompetent scoring. “Thug” Namajunas says she isn’t interested in a third fight, but would consider it if her rival admits who the better fight has been.
“Right now, that fight doesn’t really interest me at the moment,” Namajunas recently told TMZ Sports. “I think I’d be interested to see how she does with somebody else before even entertaining that possibility. At the moment, there’s not much to gain from running that back again.”
“Unless she’s says I’m the best — publicly” said Namajunas. “Publicly because I already know she knows. Just say it, to everybody. She knows I’m the best but she won’t admit it to everybody.”
