Rousey becomes the first woman to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Rousey (12-2) retired from the sport in 2016 after back-to-back knockout losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes. Despite going out on a two-fight losing skid, the ‘Rowdy’ one remains one of the most dominant, influential and well-known fighters in the history of MMA. The first woman to sign with the UFC, the first woman to headline a UFC event and the first woman to win a UFC belt. The 31-year-old defended her bantamweight title a total of six times before losing it in a stunning 2015 upset to Holly Holm. To this day she continues to inspire young fans all over the world and is a hugely influential figure in the entertainment industry, starring in movies and performing as a professional wrestler for the WWE.

UFC president Dana White was selected by Rousey to induct her into the Hall of Fame. Rousey was accompanied by her husband Travis Browne. The entire ceremony including Rousey’s speech can be viewed on UFC FIGHT PASS.
