RIZIN FF: King Reina vs. Cindy Dandois Predictions

Tonight’s RIZIN FF event features a highly anticipated women’s lightweight fight between King Reina and Cindy “Battlecat” Dandois.

Cindy Dandois challenges the number-one lightweight fighter in the world, King Reina.

Reina (7-0) is the number-one ranked lightweight fighter in the world. She’s earned impressive victories over the likes of Jazzy Gabert, Shayna Baszler, Lei’D Tapa and Crystal Stokes.

Dandois (9-3) is a former UFC and Invicta FC veteran who makes both her RIZIN and 155-pound lightweight debuts. She has never been defeated by anyone who actively competes at 145-pounds or over, owning notable victories over Megan Anderson and Marloes Coenen.

Ahead of tonight’s event, the WMMA Rankings team have made their predictions for the lightweight fight between Reina and Dandois. Take a look at them below.

Nick: This is the best fight that both Cindy and Reina can take at the moment. If Cindy wins, she hands a highly touted unbeaten prospect her first loss and continues to rise at 145+ outside of the UFC. If King Reina wins, she adds the most credible and prolific opponent she’s faced to date to her undefeated record. With that being said, it’s a tough one to predict and should be a fun fight between two elite judokas. I’m going to side with the Battlecat!
Pick: Cindy Dandois

Lucy: Reina clearly has the edge in the striking department but Dandois has been doing Judo since she was 5 years old and has other good grappling credentials. This will be Cindy’s first time fighting at 155 and she could show even more power than she has at other lower weight classes. I’m looking forward to this but I see KING Reina winning by KO/TKO.
Pick: King Reina

Noah: Very interesting fight between two women who may not be the best strikers, but more than make up for that with their world-class Judo game. Reina will be the heavier fighter, but Dandois is the taller and by far the more experienced fighter. Both are equally as good when it comes to the Judo, but Dandois also possesses a very good BJJ game and has high-level experience fighting the best in the world. I predict Dandois stuns the Japanese crowd by submitting King Reina and becoming the new RIZIN lightweight queen.
Pick: Cindy Dandois
