The MMA Kings (@mma_kings) and Chris Taylor (@CTaylor_96) first reported via Twitter that a bout between Justine Kish (6-1) and Ji Yeon Kim (6-1-2) is in the works for a January event.
It is unconfirmed but the fight will likely be at flyweight with Kish moving up and Kim moving down.
Justine Kish last competed at 115 pounds in June. She was handed her first professional lost via unanimous decision by Felice Herrig. Prior to that she was a perfect 6-0, including back-to-back octagon wins over Nina Ansaroff and Ashley Yoder. Kish has expressed interest in the flyweight division before.
Ji Yeon Kim made her UFC debut in June, dropping a hard-fought decision to Lucie Pudilova at 135 pounds. Her loss to Pudilova snapped a six-fight winning streak. Before entering the UFC, Kim had competed at both 125 and 135.
