Report: Dancing With The Stars interested in signing up Cris Cyborg for an upcoming season

UFC superstar Cris Cyborg is rumored to have been contacted by Dancing With The Stars to compete on one of their upcoming seasons. The news was first reported by reputable sports blogger, Terez Owens.

Is Cris Cyborg the next UFC star set to compete on Dancing With The Stars?

Back in 2016, UFC strawweight Paige VanZant competed on season 22, coming 2nd place. The 23-year-old gained a large number of new fans thanks to her appearance on the show and brought even more eyes over to women’s MMA. Reigning UFC featherweight champion, Cyborg, believes she could have the same success as VanZant.

I’m a terrible dancer but I’m getting better each time,” Cyborg told TMZ. ”You have to challenge yourself. Good, bad, everything. Let’s see, I’m here for the challenge.

Cyborg (19-1-0, 1 NC) is the number-one women’s featherweight fighter in the world, as well as the reigning UFC featherweight champion. She successfully defended her title at this past Saturday’s UFC 219 event, earning a unanimous decision over former bantamweight champion, Holly Holm.

  1. I believe she was on Dancing With The Stars Brazil, so this makes sense for Dancing With The Stars America to have her on here.
