Report: Aspen Ladd vs. Germaine de Randamie targeted for UFC Sacramento main event

First reported by MMA Junkie, the UFC is looking to finalize a bout between Germaine de Randamie and Aspen Ladd as the main event for UFC on ESPN+ 13 on July 13 in Sacramento, Calif.

The bantamweight bout has been verbally agreed to.

GDR (8-3) became the inaugural women’s featherweight champion at UFC 208 when she defeated Holly Holm. She would go on to vacate the 145-pound strap to return to bantamweight. GDR made a successful comeback in November after a brief hiatus to defeat Raquel Pennington via unanimous decision. She currently rides a four-fight win streak.

Ladd (8-0) is coming off a decision victory over Sijara Euabnks at UFC Rochester– a bout that earned Fight of the Night honors. Undefeated and with six of her eight pro wins coming by way of finish, Ladd is one of the bantamweight division’s brightest prospects.

One has to believe this is a title eliminator of sorts. Should this fight be finalized, who would you be rooting for?

  1. Hey superb website! Does running a blog similar
to this require a lot of work? I’ve virtually no understanding of programming however I had been hoping to start
my own blog in the near future. Anyways, if you have any suggestions or
tips for new blog owners please share. I know this is off subject but
I just wanted to ask. Kudos!
