Who is Priscila Cachoeira? A look at Valentina Shevchenko’s upcoming undefeated opponent

Priscila Cachoeira makes her UFC debut at the Fight Night 125 event on February 3rd when she takes on Valentina Shevchenko.

Cachoeira has her sights set on the UFC flyweight title after she beats Shevchenko.

Brazil’s Cachoeira will be looking to make a statement in her promotional debut by taking out a woman who many are tipping to be the next UFC flyweight champion.

Cachoeira (8-0) is an undefeated 29-year-old who trains at the highly-acclaimed Parana Vale Tudo gym along with the likes of UFC strawweight Jessica Andrade. The Brazilian, who fights out of Rio de Janeiro, has finished four of her career victories by way of knockouts whilst the others were won by decisions.

In Cachoeira’s latest showing this past November, she earned herself a second round TKO victory over Rosy Duate. Take a look back at the win below.

  1. Looks like Cachoeira ‘s swinging for the fences is tailored made for Shevchenko’s precision striking. Fortunately for Cachoeira (or maybe not), it looks like she can take a punch and will probably drop from exhaustion before dropping from a strike. I’d give her a puncher’s chance but not much more.
