Polyana Viana vs Hannah Cifers set for UFC 235 on March 2

First reported by Brett Okamoto for ESPN, an exciting strawweight fight has been added to UFC 235 on March 2.

Though Viana (10-2) will be looking to rebound from a loss in the Octagon to JJ Aldrich, she is coming of a victory in the streets of Brazil when she thwarted an attempted a man who attempted to rob her.

In what will be “Shockwave” Cifers (8-3) sophomore UFC appearance, she will be looking to bounce back from a TKO loss to Maycee Barber in her debut in November.

UFC 235 takes place on March 2 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Who will you be rooting for?

  1. This is looking to be a pretty sweet card with both Tecia Torres vs. Weili Zhang and
Gina Mazany vs. Macy Chiasson on the card as well. Can’t wait for Tecia vs. Weili. Should be a barn burner.

    1. Oh my, how could I forget? Holly Holm vs. Aspen Ladd is also on the card. Is this the first non TUF related UFC card that has featured 4 women’s fights? I hope it’s a sign of things to come.

      1. I guess I’m talking to myself here, but Hell no, dummy! In a little less than 2 weeks we have 4 WMMA fights on UFC 233. Booya!

        1. It’s alright, JR. It’s really a sign of genius ! 😉 but yeah , I knew there was another card even sooner with 4 WMMA fights LOL ! Yeah, hopefully, this is a sign of things to come instead of the majority of the women having to wait 7 months for a fight, even in Bellator and Invicta 🙁 Hottie, Cortney Casey, and a few others are the exceptions in the UFC, and there are a couple exceptions in Invicta and Bellator.

          1. Thanks for the consoling words, anticereal. Hopefully Weili and Valentina join the others in multiple fights per year. Weili had 7 in 2017 before moving to the UFC so I’m sure she’s up for more. Probably anxious to break Cyborg’s WMMA record of 20 straight wins.
