Germaine de Randamie returns, draws Marion Reneau at bantamweight

Moments ago, the UFC confirmed that former featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie (7-3) will be returning to bantamweight to face Marion Reneau (7-3-1) at UFC Rotterdam in September.

de Randamie won a controversial decision over Holly Holm at UFC 208 in February to become the first ever featherweight champion. #UFCGlasgow: Amanda Lemos gets potential six month medical suspension

The official medical suspensions for UFC Glasgow have been released. Only one of the four female fighters that went to war on Sunday received a lengthy suspension.

  • Cynthia Calvillo is suspended 30 days with 21 days no contact; left forearm x-ray is negative 
  • Joanne Calderwood is suspended 30 days with 21 days no contact for hard bout 
  • Leslie Smith is suspended 30 days with 21 days no contact; x-ray is negative 
  • Amanda Lemos is suspended 180-days or until cleared by negative x-ray on right thumb; suspended a minimum of 45 days

Cynthia Calvillo talks heated post-fight exchange with Calderwood backstage

In just eleven months, budding strawweight contender Cynthia Calvillo (6-0) has recorded three straight UFC wins. She’s appeared on two back-to-back PPV events and recently co-headlined UFC Fight Night 113. It is no secret that Calvillo’s star is on the rise.

In her most recent appearance at UFC Glasgow, she defeated Scotland’s hometown hero Joanne Calderwood (11-3) by unanimous decision. Fighters and fans alike voiced their opinions on the decision– some agreed with Calvillo’s victory, while others thought Calderwood edged it out. There is arguably no one more upset by the decision than Joanne Calderwood herself though.
