Nicolini improves her record to 5-1-0. As well as competing in MMA, Nicolini is also an active BJJ competitor and is considered a legend of the sport having been inducted into the IBJJF Hall of Fame. The 36-year-old holds a black belt under Robert Drysdale and is an ADCC and 8x BJJ black belt World Champion. The Brazilian has only suffered one career loss in MMA, a 2014 unanimous decision to Norma Rueda Center. All of her career victories come by way of submissions in the very first round.

Take a look at the finish below:

ONE Championship: Kings of Courage took place Friday March 9 from the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The main card featuring Nicolini vs. Kyselova was aired live on PPV via ONE’s official site from 7am EST.

  1. Darn, I got my days messed up. I was thinking it was tonight. With Iryna’s 10-2 record and being 4 inches taller, and Michelle moving up a weight class, I thought this might be quite the challenge for her. I guess not. Hope to see ONE having her challenge for the FW title soon.

  2. Just curious, Noah; you have this noted as a Flyweight Division fight, but with regards to the fight, ONE notes “This was the type of performance Nicolini needed if she truly wants a shot at the ONE Women’s Strawweight World Championship.”, implying that it was a strawweight fight. I know ONE’s weight divisions are confusing but do you know whether they fought at a 125 limit or at a 115 limit?
