Number-two ranked atomweight Mina Kurobe returns on March 10, looks to defend DEEP JEWELS title against Satomi Takano

Mina Kurobe will attempt to make the first defense of her DEEP JEWELS atomweight title on March 10 when she battles Satomi Takano.

40-year-old Mina Kurobe is the number-two ranked atomweight fighter in the world.

Kurobe (11-3-0) has won six of her last seven, with the one loss coming to reigning ROAD FC atomweight champion, Seo Hee Ham. The 40-year-old is the number-two ranked atomweight fighter in the world, according to the WMMA World Rankings. She won the DEEP JEWELS atomweight belt in February 2017 after earning a unanimous decision over Naho Sugiyama.

Takano (11-9-0) has won four of her last five, with the loss coming too Emi Tomimatsu. The 27-year-old believes she has made significant improvements to her MMA game since when she first started as a pro and looks to prove it by taking out one of the best atomweight fighters on the planet.

DEEP JEWELS 19 takes place on March 10 from the Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo, Japan. Streaming details will be announced during the month of the event.
