Mizuki steps in for Morandin against Jandiroba for Invicta strawweight title

Invicta FC 28 has a new main event.

The original headliner was to feature an all-Brazilian Strawweight Championship fight between Janaisa Morandin and Virna Jandiroba. However, Morandin (10-1), known as the “Evil Princess”, has pulled out due to injury, and is being replaced by MIZUKI (12-4).

MIZUKI is only 23, but she is considered to be one of the world’s best strawweights. She last fought at Invicta FC18, where she defeated Lynn Alvarez via armlock submission.

MIZUKI was scheduled to fight Russian fighter Milana Dudieva in the co-main, but was pulled to face submission specialist Jandiroba. Invicta is currently seeking a replacement fight for Dudieva.

Jandiroba and MIZUKI will be fighting for the vacant Invicta Strawweight belt. The title was vacated when the UFC brought back Angela Hill for her second tour of duty in the Octagon.

Are you excited to see Mizuki back in action?
