Not many people know Ronda Rousey as well as former UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate does. Tate fought Rousey on two previous occasions, as well as coaching a season of The Ultimate Fighter with her. The pair go down as one of the most bitter rivalries in women’s MMA history.
Just days away from Ronda Rousey’s return fight, Tate has fired shots at her rival. She believes Ronda’s head isn’t truly in it, claiming that she’s doing it as a favor for the UFC.
“If she really wanted to continue fighting, she would have been back in there sooner. Her taking a year and some change off just says a lot about I think she wants to do other things. I think that she’s doing it sort of as a favor to the UFC.”
Ronda Rousey will challenge Amanda Nunes for the UFC bantamweight championship this Friday 30 December at UFC 207 from the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The event will air live on PPV.
