Megan Anderson reflects on controversial UFC 232 TKO victory, says she is ‘more than happy’ to give Cat Zingano a rematch

Megan Anderson picked up her first UFC victory at this past Saturday’s UFC 232 event, a first round TKO win over Cat Zingano.

Anderson says she is ‘more than happy’ to give Zingano rematch.

The victory was considered a controversial one due to the fact that the fight was stopped after Anderson’s toe hit Zingano’s eye. After Zingano turned away following the poke, the referee stopped the fight and ruled it a TKO win for Anderson.

Anderson (8-3) took to her Instagram page to comment on the fight and made it clear that she is more than willing to grant Zingano a rematch.

A win is a win. Not how we wanted it to go but we’re just doing our job. All well wishes to Cat and hope she is okay. Like I said post fight, more than happy to give it to her again if that’s what she wants.” she wrote.

A win is a win. Not how we wanted it to go but we're just doing our job. ▪ All well wishes to Cat and hope she is ok. Like I said post fight, more than happy to give it to her again if that's what she wants. ▪ A huge thank you to my coaches (@thejameskrause, @coachmarcmontoya, @trey_ogden) and team. This camp has been the hardest I have ever done and the last six months has seen some of the most drastic changes and improvements in my game than I ever have before. We grinded every single day with the intent to be the best and although I wasn't able to show a lot of that last night, I know, and my team knows the sacrifices and hard work that has made me a better martial artist today. ▪ Thank you all for the kind words and support throughout the week and thank you to those who have stuck by me from the beginning. I see it all and I'm humbled 🙏🏻 ▪ Onwards to 2019 and to building the Featherweight division!!
