Maycee Barber versus JJ Aldrich flyweight bout set for UFC Nashville in March

An exciting flyweight bout has been added to UFC on SPN+ 6 in Nashville, Tenn., on March 23.

The UFC officially announced the bout during the UFC on ESPN+ 1 broadcast on Saturday.

‘The Future’ Maycee Barber (6-0) will be fighting at flyweight in her sophomore UFC appearance. Barber turned heads on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series– stopping Jamie Colleen in the third round to ink a UFC contract. She would go on to make her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 139 on Nov. 10, finishing fellow debutant Hannah Cifers in the second round with vicious ground and pound. Barber’s goal is to become the youngest UFC champion.

JJ Aldrich (7-2) rides a three-fight win streak into the bout. She is coming off decision victories over Chan Mi Jeon, Danielle Taylor, and Polyana Viana at 115 pounds. She will be competing at flyweight for the first time in the UFC when she meets Barber.

Who will you be rooting for?

    1. This really came out of nowhere, both of them moving to flyweight ! Maycee struggled last time, though, to make that 115 limit. She was a large strawweight !
