Welterweight contender Maura Tynanes has issued a message to her fans following an upset second-round TKO loss to Holli Salazar at Wednesday night’s Alaska FC 136 event.
Tynanes (1-1) seems to be in good spirits and told fans she believes she is better than the performance she gave, promising to return stronger than ever. Take a look at the Hawaiian’s message below:
Alaska FC 136 marked Tynanes’ second professional MMA fight, following a successful pro debut last March when she choked out Avril Straub in the very first-round. Prior to making the move to MMA, Tynanes, who was undefeated as an amateur, already had a background in combat sports, being a former collegiate/freestyle wrestler who placed second at nationals during her first year in college, she is also a black belt division naga championship winner. She trains at the Jesus is Lord gym in Hawaii, along with UFC star, Rachael Ostovich.
