UFC Fight Night 139 is proving to be just as vulnerable to fighter injuries as any other UFC event.
Strawweight fighter Maia Stevenson, scheduled to fight Maycee Barber, has pulled out with an injury. Replacing her is “Shockwave” Hannah Cifers (8-2).
The 26-year old Cifers fights out of North Carolina, where she trains out of United Thai Boxing and MMA Real American Grappling. She has wins over Kali Robbins, Celine Haga, and Thais Souza. Her two losses were to UFC vets Gillian Robertson and Heather Jo Clark.
This will be Cifer’s first fight in the UFC. It will also be the debut of her opponent, Maycee Barber.
Barber inked a UFC contract with a TKO win over Jamie Colleen in July on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. She holds an undefeated record of 5-0 that consists of two submissions, two TKO/KOs, and one decision win.
UFC Fight Night 139 will take place on November 10 in Denver, Colorado.
