Liz Carmouche vs Jennifer Maia added to UFC Fight Night in Boise on July 14

An exciting women’s flyweight match between Liz “Girlrilla” Carmouche and Jennifer Maia has been added to UFC Fight Night in Boise, Idaho, at the CenturyLink Arena on July 14.

Former bantamweight title challenger Carmouche will be making her sophomore UFC flyweight appearance. She made her flyweight debut versus Alexis Davis in December, dropping a controversial split-decision.

Opposite Carmouche will be former Invicta FC flyweight champion Jennifer Maia. The Brazilian will be making her UFC debut after riding a six-fight win streak in Invicta.

Who will you be rooting for?

  1. Unlike probably most of the rankers who have Maia ranked far higher, I think she will have her hands full with Carmouche and will be most impressed if Maia pulls out a victory. Looking forward to the fight. Any idea what portion of the card she’ll be fighting on?

    1. I can’t confirm, but it looks like it is going to be on the televised prelims with Zingano vs Reneau capping off the televised prelim card.

        1. That it a tough one! I like Reneau a lot but I am a big Cat fan and I am leaning toward her. As for Maia/Carmouche– I am not sure what to expect and tbh, this is one match up I did not see coming! What about you?
