This Saturday’s UFC 229 early preliminary card will be headlined by an exciting women’s bantamweight matchup between Lina Lansberg and Yana Kunitskaya.
Lansberg (8-3-0), also known as the ‘Elbow Queen’, returns to competition following a dominant unanimous decision win over Gina Mazany at the UFC Liverpool event this past May. The 36-year-old owns an additional promotional victory over Lucia Pudilova with her two losses coming to Cris Cyborg and Aspen Ladd. Lansberg is currently ranked number-twelve in the UFC rankings and number-ten in the WMMA World Rankings.
Kunitskaya (10-4-0, 1 NC) returns to competition following an unsuccessful promotional debut this past March, losing by way of a first-round TKO to Cris Cyborg in the main event of UFC 222. The ‘Foxy’ one is a former Invicta FC bantamweight champion who won the belt in August 2017 after defeating Raquel Pa’aluhi in the main event of Invicta FC 25. The 28-year-old owns a notable 2010 win over top-five ranked featherweight, Cindy Dandois.
UFC 229 takes place this Saturday October 6 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The early preliminary card featuring Lansberg vs. Kunitskaya will be aired live on UFC Fight Pass from 6:15pm EST.
