Lehner enthusiastic about fighting Kaufman for Invicta FC bantamweight title

German women’s bantamweight Katharina Lehner is thrilled about her upcoming championship fight with Canadian veteran Sarah Kaufman.

The 7-0 Lehner has already won two other bantamweight titles in the Young Blood Night and Respect FC organizations, and she is highly motivated to try for her third belt.

In an interview, Lehner says “I’m very excited for this fight. And I’m really happy to get the opportunity to fight a UFC and Strikeforce veteran. She has a lot more fights than me, more experience, and she is a well-rounded fighter as well.”

Despite her enthusiasm, she has a difficult task in front of her. Kaufman is a WMMA pioneer, and has fought many of the best female fighters of all time. She is also highly motivated after a lackluster UFC stint that saw her go 1-2-1 NC, and having to take a fight in South Korea against current UFC fighter Jessica-Rose Clark, a fight for which neither fighter was paid.
