Lauren Mueller replaces Shana Dobson versus Wu Yanan on November 24

A couple of social media posts confirm the news that a WMMA fight in November has lost and added fighters. And as it happens sometimes, the fighter who pulled out and her replacement are former opponents.

Shana Dobson (3-2) was set to fight Wu Yanan (9-2) on the upcoming UFC Beijing card on November 24, but as she announced on her Instagram page, she’s now unable to fight:

Well time to let y’all know the news. Unfortunately I suffered an injury during trainin that is preventing me from participating in UFC Beijing November 24. I want to thank my family, coaches, friends, fans, sponsors, and overall supporters. I also want you to know that this is simply a time for me to continue to grow and return to the octagon more DANGEROUS than ever. As I’ll be healing and training I’ll be thinkin about you. And by you I mean anybody in the @ufc flyweight division that can catch this fade. Cause when I come back (sooner than later), it’s gonna be a ruthless performance from me n I feel sorry for whoever gon be standing on the other side of that octagon from me. Love y’all. Keep up wit me as I ain’t down at all. Just building, ya dig? #stillgoin #seeyouatthenextone #whowantthesmoke #shanadobson #dangerdobson #ufc #flyweight #stillchampchasin #fight #mma #wmma #injury #shithappens #partofthegrind #getit #💪🏾 #🙏🏾 #❤️

Her replacement is Lauren “Princess Tiger” Mueller. She announced her addition to the fight on her Instagram account:

“Danger” Dobson and Mueller fought on the UFC on Fox 29 card. Mueller won a unanimous decision.

Who do you think will win? Mueller or Yanan?

  1. Given their respective level of competition and records, I vote Mueller, but she had better finish Wu if hopes to prevail. I would imagine hometown advantage is a pretty big factor in Beijing.
