King Reina’s opponent for DEEP JEWELS 19 event on March 10 has been revealed

Lightweight contender King Reina returns to competition at the DEEP JEWELS 19 event on March 10. Earlier today the organization finally confirmed that her opponent will be So-Young Park (pictured below).

So-Young Park makes her professional MMA debut against number-two lightweight King Reina.

Park (0-0) will be making her professional debut, following a successful amateur fight in which she knocked out Ja Hee Kim in the second-round. She trains at the Gumi MMA gym in South Korea.

Reina (7-1-0) is the number-two ranked women’s lightweight fighter in the world. She’ll be looking to rebound from the first loss of her career, a split decision to Cindy Dandois at this past December’s RIZIN FF event. The 21-year-old owns notable stoppage victories over Young Ji Kim, Kristin Handel and Jazzy Gabert. She has also picked up dominant unanimous decision wins over Shayna Baszler, Lei’D Tapa and Crystal Stokes.

  1. This is HILARIOUS! The fraudulent matchups for King Reina continues. For the guy representing Bobbi Jo Dalziel, I’m thinking negotiations went nowhere in a possible match up against King Reina because Bobbi Jo Dalziel has more than one pro fight (lol). Keep the fraudulent match ups going Japan. What a joke.

    1. It’s hard to determine which is more of a joke, RIZIN with its Gabi Garcia mismatches or Deep Jewels. The #2 lightweight vs. a pro novice. Give me a break.
