King Reina: “To be quite frank I think I need more love from the fans”

King Reina, the number-one welterweight fighter in the world, feels as though she has been underappreciated by the MMA fans.

King Reina feels as though she deserves more love from the fans.

In a recent interview with RIZIN FF, Reina (4-0 Pro) was asked about whether she is being recognized on the streets since her MMA success. She responded “Just a little, not nearly enough though. To be quite frank I think I need more love“.

The 20-year-old went on to reveal that since her success in the world of MMA, many old friends have begun to contact her.

“Some old friends all of a sudden called me out of the blue. I was like ‘Why the hell are contacting me now?'”

The “King” has looked nothing short of sensational since making her pro debut back in November 2016, successfully taking out Eriko Iwamoto, Shayna Baszler, Jazzy Gabert and Kristin Handel to earn her number-one position in the welterweight world rankings.

She is set to return to competition at the RIZIN Fighting Federation 6 event on July 30th, taking on Lei’D Tapa in a women’s openweight bout (welterweight VS heavyweight).
