Ketlen Vieira vs. Marion Reneau targeted for UFC 250 in Sao Paulo

A bantamweight clash between two top ten contenders is in the works for UFC 250 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on May 9.

MMA Junkie reported the bout on Tuesday. The UFC has yet to make the bout official.

At UFC 245, Brazil’s Vieira (10-1) suffered the first loss of her pro career when she was knocked out by Irene Aldana in her return fight after a layoff from injury. Prior to that, “Fenomeno” secured Octagon wins over the likes of Kelly Faszholz, Ashlee Evans-Smith, Sara McMann and Cat Zingano.

Reneau (9-5-1) debuted in the UFC in 2015 and has since been a staple in the bantamweight rankings. “The Belizean Bruiser” currently rides a two-fight skid following decision losses to Cat Zingano. Her Octagon resume includes victories over Alexis Dufresne, Jessica Andrade, Milana Dudieva, Talita Bernardo and Sara McMann.
