Ketlen Vieira on submitting Sara McMann: “It was never luck, it was always god”

Last night in the featured prelim bout of the UFC 215 event, Ketlen Vieira picked up the biggest win of her career, submitting Sara McMann in the second round. It should be noted that McMann’s previous losses all come against former or current world champions in Miesha Tate, Ronda Rousey and Amanda Nunes.

Vieira was overcome with emotion following her big victory over Sara McMann.

Vieira’s victory means she remains undefeated, improving her record to 9-0-0. The 26-year-old commented on her big win via social media.

It was never luck, it was always god. Thank you, my God, all things work out for the good to those who love god” Vieira wrote.

The Brazilian made her UFC debut October 2016, taking out Kelly Faszholz via decision. She followed up in April with another decision win, this time over Ashlee Evans-Smith. Her latest victory means she is now on a three-fight win streak with the organization. She has finished her opponents in six of her nine career victories.
