Kayla Harrison vs. Genah Fabian, lightweight bout | This Friday, PFL 2019 #7: Playoffs | 10pm ET, LIVE on ESPN 2

This Friday’s PFL 2019 #7 event features an exciting women’s lightweight showdown when Kayla Harrison takes on Genah Fabian.

Harrison is a two-time Olympic Gold Medallist in Judo.

Harrison (5-0) has earned all five of her career victories with the PFL promotion, including four stoppage wins. The 29-year-old, a two-time Olympic Gold Medallist in Judo, was last in action this past July, picking up the first-round submission win over Morgan Frier.

Fabian is a Muay Thai specialist who is a former WMC middleweight champion.

Fabian (2-1) is coming off an impressive first-round TKO victory over Moriel Charneski. The 30-year-old, a former Muay Thai world champion, is the significant betting underdog for this fight but is fully confident she has what it takes to shock the world on Friday.

The bout between Harrison and Fabian will serve as the semi-finals in the PFL women’s lightweight tournament in which the winner will receive $1 million dollars and become women’s lightweight champion of the world for 2019. The winner will face the victor of the Sarah Kaufman vs. Larissa Pacheco bout, a bout which also takes place at this Friday’s event.

PFL 2019 #7 takes place this Friday October 11, 2019, from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The main card, featuring Harrison vs. Fabian, will be aired live on ESPN 2 from 10pm EST.

  1. The PFL is in a good position to over take Bellator,
in the MMA landscape, but their obsession with having the majority of their roster being Ali Abdelaziz clients isn’t helping their cause. With that being stated, I favor Kayla Harrison of taking this tournament and the $1 million dollars prize at the end of the year.
