Olympic Judo Gold medalist Kayla Harrison continues her attention-getting MMA career as the New Year rings in.
Harrison (2-0) will next face Moriel Charneski (3-4) in New York City on the Professional Fighters League December 31 card.
Harrison’s MMA career is being developed gradually, and so far she has impressed, getting submission and TKO wins against Brittney Elkin and Jozette Cotton.
Harrison was booked to appear on the New Year’s card a few weeks ago, but her opponent was unnamed until now.
The promotion also announced that Harrison will take part in their first-ever female 155-pound tournament next year, with the winner earning $1 million.
Charneski is making her PFL debut for the fight against Harrison. She has a win over Sarah Patterson and losses against Pam Sorenson, Marciea Allen, and Shanna Young.
The fight card will air on NBCSN from the Hulu Theatre.
