Kayla Harrison meets Brittney Elkin in MMA debut

PFL has officially named Kayla Harrison’s opponent for her PFL and MMA debut at PFL 2 on June 21 in Chicago.

Two-time Olympic gold medalist judoka, Kayla Harrison (0-0), will meet Brittney Elkin (3-4) in a 155-pound contest.

Harrison’s team says she is able to safely make 145-pounds, however, they felt it would make more sense for her first fight to be closer to her walking weight. The 27-year-old trains at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Elkin last fought in July of 2017, losing to Amanda Bell at Bellator 181. Elkin has previously competed at 145-pounds.

Will Brittney Elkin spoil the MMA debut of Kayla Harrison?

  1. I would certainly hope that Elkin doesn’t spoil Harrison’s debut. Her only notable victory to date is over Gabrielle Holloway. I’m glad to see that they are bringing Harrison up slowly.
