Former UFC bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, came up short in her mixed martial arts return at UFC 207, where she was destroyed in just 48 seconds by reigning bantamweight queen, Amanda Nunes. The event took place last Friday Dec. 30, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to former roommate, Judo teammate, and fellow Olympian, Kayla Harrison, Rousey has the skill to reclaim her place at the top of the 135lbs division, but not with her current support system.
Harrison told to TMZ:
“I think she has a lot of people around her who maybe don’t have Ronda’s best interests at heart. So I think she should take a good, hard look at that and maybe go back to the Day Ones. Maybe go back to her family. Maybe go back to her original coaches who helped her be successful and maybe say, ‘Okay, these people I know really do care about me as Ronda – not as a fighter, not as a money-making machine, not as an actress, not as a celebrity, but as Ronda.”
