Jozette Cotton vs. Marissa Pender, featherweight title | This Friday at DCS 40 | 7pm ET, LIVE on FITE TV

Dynasty Combat Sports looks to crown its inaugural women’s featherweight champion this Friday when Jozette “The #1 Headbusta” Cotton takes on Marissa “Shorty” Pender.

Cotton is the reigning Dynasty Combat Sports lightweight champion.

Cotton (8-1-0) will attempt to make featherweight once again, after weighing in at 150-pounds during her last attempt back in December. The 29-year-old is the reigning DCS lightweight champion, having defeated Sarah Patterson to earn the belt this past September. She is keen to make the full time move to 145-pounds in a bid to eventually challenge UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg.

Pender (3-5-0) makes her return to featherweight following a run at bantamweight in which she is coming off an impressive first-round submission win over Gina Begley. The 31-year-old has won all her career victories by way of submissions.

Dynasty Combat Sports 40: St Patty Showdown takes place this Friday March 9 from the A View On State in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The main card featuring Cotton vs. Pender will be aired live on FITE TV from 7am EST.

  1. Seriously? Jozette Cotton wants to be apart of the UFC/WME FAKE Women’s Featherweight division? Well, I can understand Jozette Cotton wanting to get paid, but the UFC/WME Women’s Featherweight division is a FAKE DIVISION with a FAKE BELT for that FAKE DIVISION. I don’t think the UFC/WME will build up their FAKE Women’s Featherweight division until after Cristiane Cyborg Justino contract is up and she signs elsewhere. At that the UFC/WME will build up their FAKE Women’s Featherweight division with a bunch of white fitness model types. Hey, Bellator has basically done the same thing with their Women’s Flyweight Modeling Agency, er, Women’s Flyweight division (lol). For Jozette Cotton keep doing your thing and go get your money. I thoroughly enjoy watching her fights. Jozette Cotton does GATA (GET AFTER THEIR A_S) in her fights. Good luck.
