Jozette Cotton: “Cris Cyborg fights hand picked soccer moms, she doesn’t want to feel my right hand”

Jozette Cotton competes in the biggest fight of her career this Friday when she takes on number-one ranked Sarah Patterson for the inaugural lightweight world title at Dynasty Combat Sports 37.

Ahead of the big fight, it seems Cotton’s mind is currently on UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg. Just a few weeks ago, Cotton claimed Cyborg once blocked her on social media for calling her out. Now the 29-year-old has hit out at the Brazilian once again, this time slamming her for fighting “hand picked soccer moms”, branding her “weak as sh*t” and claiming she can’t handle her “right hand”. Take a look at her tweets below.

Cotton is not a fan of UFC superstar, Cris Cyborg.

Cyborg (18-1, 1 NC) is the number-one featherweight fighter in the world, as well as being considered by many as the pound-for-pound greatest female fighter on the planet. She has not lost since her professional debut in 2005, taking out some of WMMA’s biggest names including Marloes Coenen, Gina Carano and Leslie Smith. She won the UFC featherweight title in July, knocking out Tonya Evinger in the third round.

Cotton (6-1) was dethroned from her number one position in the lightweight world rankings last October after dropping a unanimous decision to Bobbi-Jo Dalziel. Prior to the loss, she was on a six-fight win streak which included first-round stoppages over Elsha Cleffman and Nikita Netjes. Cotton is currently the No. 3 ranked lightweight according to the WMMA world rankings.

After an almost twelve month layoff, “The #1 Headbusta” now looks to reclaim her number-one position by taking out Patterson and winning the inaugural lightweight world title.

‘DCS 37: September Fight Fest’ takes place this Friday September 1 from the Centurylink Center in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The event will air live on FloCombat.

  1. Nice try with the smack talk, but Cristiane Cyborg Justino is fighting in the UFC making good money, while Jozette Cotton is fighting for Dynasty Combat making peanuts.

    1. Cyborg’s level of competition is generally abysmal, but they’re in a whole other stratosphere from Jozette’s. When a division’s #1 contender has 3 pro fights, its #3 contender has a losing record and its #4 contender has a single pro fight, you know you’re speaking of a fledgling division. The higher weight divisions are just as pathetic, if not more so. And this is not just within one organization. It’s the world’s best at each division. Until the different divisions are able to build their ranks with talent, make one women’s HW division which is anyone over 136 and Cris will still rule it.
