Joanna Jedrzejczyk on UFC 223 title rematch: “I’m taking back what belongs to me, the belt is coming to Poland again”

Earlier today UFC president Dana White confirmed that Joanna Jedrzejczyk will attempt to win back her strawweight title from Rose Namajunas at UFC 223 on April 7, WMMA Rankings reported about the news earlier in the week.

Jedrzejczyk (14-1) lost the belt to Rose Namajunas at November’s UFC 217, finding herself victim of a brutal first-round knockout. The 30-year-old was one of the organization’s most dominant champions of all time prior to the loss, having won the belt from Carla Esparza in 2015 and then going on to defend it against Jessica Penne, Valerie Letourneau, Claudia Gadelha, Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Jessica Andrade.

The former champion is very confident she will be back on top from April 7 and decided to issue an official statement on her Instagram page. Take a look below.
