Joanna Jedrzejczyk: “I spoke with Dana White and the UFC, we are going to try and make this fight happen”

UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has confirmed that talks have begun for her to replace Amanda Nunes in tonight’s UFC 213 main event against Valentina Shevchenko.
Earlier today it was officially confirmed that Amanda Nunes has had to pull out of tonight’s fight. Following on from the revelation, UFC president Dana White revealed that Joanna was begging to step in and face Shevchenko tonight. Now it seems talks have indeed begun.
