Joanna Jedrzejczyk blasts haters, promises to come back more “arrogant” and “cocky” following UFC 217 “accident”

Joanna Jedrzejczyk lost her strawweight title in stunning fashion at the recent UFC 217 pay-per-view event. The longtime champion was knocked out by Rose Namajunas in the very first-round.

Since the loss, fans have been divided when it comes to Jedrzejczyk. Many feel as though the former champ will reclaim the belt, whilst others are critical of the overconfident way in which she was behaving prior to the loss.

Jedrzejczyk (14-1-0) says she is not phazed by the fans criticizing her. In fact, she promises to come back “more cocky” and “more arrogant”, referring to her UFC 217 loss as an “accident”.

“Some people can’t believe I’m smiling and in good mood, they think I should sit and cry and do nothing. I do my business from the beginning to the end and this is who I am. People who are saying that I am cocky or arrogant, that’s why I lost, I just want to tell you that I will be more cocky, I will be more arrogant. I’m bigger than that one night at UFC 217. It was an accident.”

  1. Sure she does, but if Rose wants to take some time off after winning the title, maybe JJ can face Andrade for the right to challenge for the title. I’d be up for seeing any of those three against each other.
