Jinh Yu Frey brings in Bellator’s Emily Ducote as she prepares for atomweight world title fight on December 23

Jinh Yu Frey competes in the biggest fight of her career on December 23 when she challenges Seo Hee Ham for the atomweight world title fight at ROAD FC 45.

Frey believes she is the best atomweight fighter on the planet.

The women’s atomweight division is considered one of the most exciting in MMA and is widely being regarded as the next likely division the UFC will create. Ham and Frey are the number one and two ranked fighters in the world at 105-pounds.

32-year-old Frey has won four of her last five, with the one loss coming to a woman who no longer competes in the division, Ayaka Hamasaki. As part of the prestigious Invicta FC organization, Frey has taken out the likes of Ashley CumminsHerica Tiburcio and Liz McCarthy. December 23 will give Frey the opportunity to prove to the world that she is the best atomweight fighter on the planet.

In preparation for the big fight, Frey has brought in a woman who knows all about challenging for a world title, Bellator MMA flyweight, Emily Ducote. Frey recently shared a photo on her social media pages talking about having Ducote down.

You know when Emily Ducote comes to town, you’re going to have to put in some serious work! Thanks to Gallupi Strength Conditioning for staying an extra night in Texas so Emily could punch me in the face this morning.” she wrote. The full post can be seen below.

  1. Two of my favorite fighters facing off. Should be a great fight. Too bad one of them has to lose.

In the meantime, Hamasaki’s intent seems to be up in the air. One would think that with Souza moving over to the UFC, she would give getting the title at 115 another shot, but I’d much prefer seeing her giving Jinh Yu another shot at 105.
