Jinh Yu Frey and Minna Grusander battle for vacant Invicta FC atomweight title on July 21

Jinh Yu Frey is set to battle Minna Grusander for the vacant atomweight title at the Invicta FC 30 event on July 21, the organization confirmed the news earlier today.

Frey is considered one of the best 105-pound fighters in the world.

Frey (6-2) will be making her return to Invicta FC following a December fight against Seo Hee Ham in which she unsuccessfully challenged for ROAD FC’s atomweight belt. Prior to the loss, the 32-year-old had won four of her last five including victories over top-ranked contenders in Herica Tiburcio and Ashley Cummins.

Grusander (6-1) makes her second Invicta FC appearance after knocking out Fernanda Priscilla in her promotional debut this past March. The 29-year-old “Brutsku” is on an impressive four-fight win streak, all of which are finishes by way of knockouts and chokes.

  1. All I can say is “About time!” I guess Invicta got tired of me nagging them about the vacant title.
