This Friday’s TUF 28 Finale event features an exciting flyweight bout on the main card when Ji Yeon Kim returns to take on a highly-touted UFC newcomer in Antonina Shevchenko.
Kim (8-1-2) makes her fourth appearance for the UFC and looks to build on a two-fight win streak in which she has picked up split decision victories over Justine Kish and Melinda Fabian. The 29-year-old, also known as ‘Fire Fist’, trains out of the MOB Training Center in Seoul, South Korea.
Shevchenko (6-0-0) makes her first appearance for the promotion after knocking out Jaimee Nievera in the first-round of their June Dana White Contender Series encounter to earn herself a UFC contract. The undefeated 34-year-old, also known as ‘The Panther’, is a highly-touted prospect thanks to her success in the sport of Muay Thai in which she has captured several world titles. She is the older sister of fellow flyweight contender, Valentina Shevchenko.
The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale takes place this Friday November 30 from The Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The main card featuring Kim vs. Shevchenko will be aired live on Fox Sports 1 from 10pm EST.
