An exciting bantamweight rematch has been announced for UFC’s upcoming event in Moscow on Nov. 9.
Jessica-Rose Clark (9-5, 1 NC) will make her return to the bantamweight division to take on Pannie “Bonzai” Kianzad (11-5).
The pair first met at Invicta FC 13 in July of 2015, with Kianzad defeating Clark by unanimous decision.
Clark will be moving up to the bantamweight division following a 2-1 run at 125 pounds. After decision victories over Bec Rawlings and Paige VanZant, Clark dropped a decision to Jessica Eye. She was scheduled to fight at flyweight versus Andrea Lee last December but difficulties during the weight cut forced her out of the bout.
Clark was scheduled to make her bantamweight return versus Talita Bernardo at UFC 237 but an injury postponed her Octagon return.
Kianzad made it to the finale of TUF 28 as a featherweight, where she lost to tournament winner Macy Chiasson. She would go on to pick up a win outside of the UFC over Iony Razafiarison but eventually returned to the promotion on short notice to face Julia Avila at UFC 239. “Bonzai” lost to Avila via unanimous decision.
