Jessica-Rose Clark returns to action at Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 124 event when she battles Paige VanZant.
Clark (8-4) made her UFC debut this past November, picking up the split decision over Bec Rawlings. The 30-year-old now looks to build on the victory and eventually make a case for a shot at the UFC flyweight title. She discussed her upcoming opponent during a recent chat with MMASucka.
“I see this fight going the same way my last one did, with me being better in all areas. I don’t feel much about her as an opponent, as I don’t know a whole lot about her. However, she is at this level for a reason, and that is something not to be taken lightly.” Clark said.
“Each fight is the same [for me], whether it’s for a national title, it’s international or it’s for the UFC. I believe that I have done this often enough that I am prepared naturally. Each experience is a fight, and my approach to each one is exactly the same, no matter who or where it is. The division is wide open right now, and there are some killers. I believe it will be the strongest and toughest division in the UFC.” she continued.
UFC Fight Night 124 takes place this Sunday January 14 from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. The main card featuring VanZant vs. Clark will be aired live on Fox Sports 1 from 10pm ET.
