An exciting women’s flyweight fight will go down at this week’s Bellator 188 event when Jessica Middleton takes on Denise Kielholtz.
Middleton (2-2) will be looking to rebound from a two-fight losing streak. The 29-year-old from Kansas made her professional debut in July 2016, picking up the unanimous decision over Brazil’s Bruna Ellen. She followed up in January of this year, picking up another decision over Alice Yauger. However in her last two showings she has dropped bouts to top contenders Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Emily Ducote.
Kielholtz (0-1), the reigning Bellator kickboxing flyweight champion, will be making her return to mixed martial arts competition. The 28-year-old is a world class fighter when it comes to the stand-up aspect of the sport, however in her professional debut in 2015 she was submitted by Juliete de Souza. Kielholtz believes she has made significant improvements to her game since her last showing and will be looking to showcase that on Thursday.
Bellator 188 takes place this Thursday November 16 from the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv, Israel at 2pm EST. The main card featuring Middleton VS Kielholtz will air on tape delay via Spike TV from 9pm EST on Friday November 17.
